Even as a small team, we have genuinely seen it all. Two of our directors are industry stalwarts, each with 20 years of experience in developing, engineering, financing, constructing and operating wind and solar farms. Our third director is the difference. A generational South Australian sheep and hay farmer, he also hosts wind turbines on his property. He knows what it’s like to live through the different phases of a project, how to get the most benefit, and how those benefits have helped to secure his family’s future.
Allmontes is a key renewable energy developer in Australia. We are 100% Australian owned with a small team bringing extensive experience from all sides of the industry. Our three founders include development, investment and construction experts and an existing project host landowner with real understanding of living through the different stages of a wind farm.
No other development company can bring this genuine understanding of the positive impacts on landowners and communities.
We are nimble, experienced and independent focusing on work with landowners as partners in the development of new projects.
Talk to Allmontes and get a real understanding of how renewable energy works in partnership with farming.
Our goal is to identify and create new renewable energy projects.
We work with landowners, councils and communities, to identify quality areas for new projects, and to use our experience to give those projects the best chance of success in the shortest period of time.
Allmontes is an independent, Australian owned and based developer. Our team has a range of experience and skill, which we use to focus on creating the best renewable energy projects.
Clint has a unique full life cycle appreciation from development to repowering or decommissioning of renewable energy projects. This rare understanding of all stages allows Clint to forward think through all the design and assessment phases to ensure projects have the best chance of success. He has enjoyed a range of roles through his career covering the various stages of the development, financing or operations of over 5GWs of operating MWs in Australia. Clint has a background and geophysics and physical geography, and puts clear focus on land forms and land use in determining the best use of country for renewable purposes.
Paul has more than 20 years experience working across the renewable industry, including the last 11 years in Australia.
He has a technical engineering background, with a PhD in renewable energy analysis which kickstarted his early career in the advisory and investment stage.
In more recent roles, Paul has been responsible for the development of over 2 GW of wind energy projects from initial conversations with landowners, through the assessment and approval phase and into financing. Paul specialises in site design, analysis and assessment, and is passionate about working to link traditional land uses and renewable energy, ensuring positive outcomes for all.
Andrew is a sheep and crop farmer from South Australia, and his family has lived in the valley for generations.
His farm is also a host to 5 wind turbines from the Waterloo 2 wind farm, so Andrew and his family have lived through every stage of a project, from the earliest development conversations, right through to construction and into operation.
This experience means Andrew is key to understanding how to merge real farming with potential renewable energy projects, to provide upside and benefit while maintaining the important aspects of normal farming life.
Our goal is to identify and originate new renewable energy projects in Australia.
We identify good areas, talk to landowners and discuss the pros and cons of hosting, aiming to answer their questions in an open and honest forum.
Working together we walk through a feasibility assessment. A good project has a range of features that are not always identifiable at the beginning. It takes skill and experience to develop a good project, something our team have been doing for many years.
During the project development phase, there’s a lot to work through. Most of this is behind the scenes using mapping and desktop assessments. At times we need to get on country, although we always try to avoid getting in the way.
After this detailed assessment of the site is complete, we bring further investment into the project
and take it into the planning application phase, working with local, state and federal regulators to demonstrate
a project that meets relevant acts and guidelines.
The project is real at this point and all work goes towards getting equipment in the ground.
We need to get to know the land. We can use mapping for a lot of this, but nothing beats driving the land and spending time with landowners to understand their property. This ensures that the project works around normal farming operations, but where there are benefits (such as improved road access across the land) we can align interests to optimise the outcome.
We measure the wind or solar resources using onsite measurement, either measurement masts or remote sensing trailers. This helps us design the most efficient site with the best chance of investment.
We use specialist ecologists to undertake seasonal surveys in line with state and federal requirements to identify and assess flora and fauna onsite. Protecting ecology while improving the global ecosystem is a delicate process. Care and attention are required to ensure a positive outcome for all species.
We welcome interest in Allmontes, who we are and what we do. If you’ve any questions at all, please fill in the form below.
We particularly want to hear from landowners interested in hosting renewable energy projects. We’ll provide a zero obligation assessment of your land and talk you through its potential.
